VEL TECH Dr. R R & Dr. SR TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, Chennai has established more than 25 courses in engineering under six Faculties of Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Technology , Information and Computing, and Management supported by more than 50 well equipped laboratories, Computer facilities with 24X7 internet connectivity, aided by dynamic web support system accessible to every student and parent. At VEL TECH, more than 300 highly qualified and experienced teachers take direct charge of students guiding them throughout their programmes, arrange for industrial visits and projects and help select appropriate elective subjects. The hostel provides healthy accommodation and food. Vast library resources meet every student’s requirement of books for the full course.

VeltechUniversity is very keen in supporting economically backward students through merit scholarships. So far, Veltech has provided 7 crore Mahatma Gandhi National merit scholarships to poor and meritorious students. So far about 400 students were benefitted by Veltech’s free education, boarding and lodging facilities. The 7^th Mahatma Gandhi Scholarships worth Rs 1 crore was distributed among 119 deserving students by Mr Narayanamurthy of Infosys and Dr Sudha Murthy of Infosys Foundation.
